Self-Actualization Test (2025) - Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs
"Life is an ongoing process of choosing between safety (out of fear and need for defense) and risk (for the sake of progress and growth). Make the growth choice a dozen times a day."
- Abraham Maslow
This short self-assessment is designed to help you reflect on your current needs and priorities through the lens of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs - a psychological theory of human motivation. First proposed in 1943 and since revisited by Maslow and others, it suggests that we tend to seek fulfilment in stages: from meeting our most basic needs (like safety and belonging) to ultimately striving for self‑actualisation: a state of living with meaning, authenticity, and inner alignment.
